La plaie de son cœur. On entend ordinairement par là le châtiment dont Dieu afflige le cœur du pécheur. Il faut entendre dans ce cas le mot connaître dans le sens de comprendre : s'ils comprennent le coup qui les frappe comme un coup destiné à briser la dureté de leurs cœurs. Ce sens nous paraît peu naturel, et comme le mot néga désigne souvent la lèpre nous pensons qu'on peut l'appliquer ici à la maladie du péché qui a attiré ce châtiment.
