21 et 22 Le peuple est décrit ici sous les traits d'un homme chassé çà et là par l'angoisse.

Il errera... affamé : à travers le pays ravagé par l'ennemi (versets 7 et 8).

Son roi et son Dieu. Au lieu de s'accuser lui-même, il accusera l'Eternel qui le châtie. Comparez Apocalypse 16.9,11,21.

Il regardera en haut... vers la terre... Cela signifie : où qu'on regarde, au ciel (peut-être vers les astres que ces idolâtres ont adoré) ou sur la terre, nulle part on ne voit poindre le secours. Comparez verset 30.
