6 à 22 A ceux qui se plaignent de l'obscurité de la parole précédente, la suivante, en fait de clarté, ne laissera rien à désirer. Cette explication est une répétition, parfois littérale, de la parabole elle-même. L'épée de l'Eternel remplace ici le feu ; c'est évidemment l'emblème du courroux de Dieu s'exerçant par le moyen de l'armée étrangère qui envahira le pays.
