Suis-je à la place de Dieu ? Deux sens possibles ; ou bien :
Si vous méritez un châtiment, c'est à Dieu, non à moi, qu'il appartient de vous le faire subir. Comparez Romains 12.19 ;
ou bien :
C'est Dieu qui, par sa providence, a dirigé toutes choses. J'irais à l'encontre de ses décrets en vous châtiant.
Ce second sens est plus conforme au contexte.
