15 à 19 Reproduction littérale du passage 10.12-16, sauf au verset 19 l'omission du mot Israël. Cette répétition n'est pas inutile. Au chapitre 10, Jérémie invitait les Juifs à dire cela aux Babyloniens quand ils habiteraient au milieu d'eux. Ici, il le leur dit lui-même directement.
