Psaumes 60.6

Si Christ est des nôtres, toutes choses, d'une manière ou d'une autre, concourent à notre bien. L'homme né de nouveau, en Christ, peut se réjouir de toutes les promesses faites par Dieu, dans Sa sainteté. Les privilèges divins et les influences de la sanctification par l'Esprit sont de réels éléments représentatifs de la gloire céleste.

David se réjouit de la conquête des nations avoisinantes, ennemies d'Israël. Ce dernier, à travers Dieu est plus qu'un conquérant. Bien qu'il pense quelquefois être abandonné du Seigneur, Celui-ci le mènera vers la cité céleste. La foi dans la promesse nous assure que c'est le bon plaisir de notre Père de nous réserver le Royaume : mais nous ne sommes pas encore des conquérants parfaits, ni de vrais croyants, en nous appuyant sur de vaines promesses ou en cultivant une certaine paresse.

Espérer en Dieu est le meilleur moyen d'avoir un courage véritable, car que peuvent craindre ceux qui ont Dieu de leur côté ? Toutes nos victoires viennent de Lui et tandis que ceux qui se soumettent au grand Roi partagent Sa gloire, tous Ses ennemis seront sous Son marchepied !
