Je suis l'Eternel, et il n'y en a point d'autre ; il n'y a point de Dieu que moi. Je t'ai ceint, quoique tu ne me connusses point.

Il n'y a aucun autre Dieu que Jéhovah. Rien ne peut être fait sans Lui. Il procure la paix, Il fait concourir toutes choses en faveur du bien ; Il crée aussi le mal, non pas le péché, mais celui de la punition. Il est L'Auteur de tout ce qui concerne la vérité, de ce qui est saint, bon, ou heureux ; le mal, la fausseté, et la misère, ne sont présents ici-bas qu'avec Son consentement, à cause de l'apostasie obstinée de ceux qu'Il a créés, ces derniers ayant désobéi à Ses commandements parfaits.

Cette doctrine réconforte ceux qui s'attendent avec ferveur à l'Éternel, qui attendent patiemment, la rédemption d'Israël. Le rachat des pécheurs par le Fils de Dieu, ainsi que la diffusion de l'Esprit, pour le succès de l'évangile, sont ici largement annoncés prophétiquement.

Nous ne devons pas nous attendre au salut, sans la Droiture ; L'Éternel les a créés conjointement !

Que les oppresseurs du peuple de Dieu ne s'opposent pas non plus à Ses desseins. Que le pauvre et l'opprimé ne « murmurent » pas, insinuant que Dieu les délaisse.

Les hommes ne sont que de simples « pots d'argile » : Dès qu'ils se disputent, ils se brisent, tels des tessons, par leurs controverses mutuelles. Celui qui ose tenir tête à Dieu est complètement insensé : il ressemble à de l'argile qui se regimberait contre le potier qui l'a modelé !

Mentionnons les Promesses divines dans nos prières et nos supplications, implorons Dieu, pour que Son salut abonde parmi nous, étant assuré que le Juge de toute la terre agira avec Droiture !
