Que fais-tu ?... Dernières tentatives diplomatiques des rois de Juda. Ces artifices de la courtisane, destinés à séduire encore ses vainqueurs, seront en pure perte ; car ceux-ci ne veulent plus que la tuer. Comparez 2.24.

Les femmes se mettaient, sur le bord des paupières à l'intérieur, un fard noir composé de substances métalliques, pour faire paraître leurs yeux plus grands et plus brillants. Comparez le récit de la fin de Jézabel 2Rois 9.30 et Esaïe 54.11.
