Ce verset résume de même brièvement les derniers ordres de Jésus aux apôtres. (Matthieu 28.19,20 ; Luc 24.45 et suivants ; Jean 20.21 et suivants)

Toute créature (grec toute la création) a ici le même sens que tout le monde, ou que le terme de Matthieu "toutes les nations," c'est-à-dire toute l'humanité pécheresse à laquelle Dieu destine les trésors de sa grâce.
