11 à 16 L'épouse.

11 à 13 Sa nouvelle position.

Ma fille : le psalmiste s'adresse à la reine avec l'autorité d'un homme qui parle au nom de Dieu. La recommandation qu'il lui fait d'oublier son peuple montre clairement qu'il s'agit d'une princesse étrangère à Israël. Mais ce n'est point forcer le sens allégorique, que de voir dans cette épouse, qui doit oublier tout son passé pour se donner à son époux, l'image du peuple de Dieu de toute époque, tiré du milieu de l'humanité corrompue et appelé à renoncer à tout, pour tout recevoir de son céleste époux.
