Dieu réaffirme ici (versets 26 et 27) le principe de conduite énoncé versets 21 à 24 et qui se justifie de lui-même à tout cœur droit : ce ne sont pas les œuvres isolées qui pèsent dans la balance divine, c'est la disposition intérieure qui les produit. Voici probablement en quoi elle consistait : il n'est pas complétement juste d'oublier ainsi le passé pour le présent, en ne tenant pas compte, soit à celui qui revient au bien, de ses fautes passées, soit à celui qui se corrompt, de ses justices premières. Dieu réaffirme ici (versets 26 et 27) le principe de conduite énoncé versets 21 à 24 et qui se justifie de lui-même à tout cœur droit : ce ne sont pas les œuvres isolées qui pèsent dans la balance divine, c'est la disposition intérieure qui les produit.
